USA Powerlifting Certified Coach & State Referee
Nez has been in the fitness industry for over two decades and brings a deep well of experience to the platform. She's a former gym owner of a renowned powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting gym, a national-level competitive lifter, and meet director with 11 sanctioned competitions under her belt.
Nez specializes in coaching lifters of all levels, from brand new to platform-ready and from 8 years old to 83 years young. Whether you're training in person or online, you’ll get expert feedback, proven strategies, and learn how to lift safely with confidence in every lift.

We Have a Teen Powerlifting Team Too!

Our Teen Powerlifting Team is designed to help young lifters aged 13–18 develop a strong foundation in fitness, form, and self-confidence, all in a fun and encouraging environment.
Led by Coach Nez Smith, each session focuses on learning proper lifting technique, building total-body strength safely, and setting personal goals through exciting challenges and progress tracking.

Training Days - Mondays and Fridays 3:00 -4:00 PM
Open to members & non-members
All levels welcome! No experience needed
$259 for 4 Weeks, training 2x a week
Limited to 5 participants for quality coaching
Waiver must be signed at NMFAC before first session

Participation in the 2026 USA Powerlifting NMFAC Classic on Saturday, May 30 is encouraged but not mandatory. Whether they want to compete or just train like a champ, this program builds confidence that lasts well beyond the gym.
